Routine Outcome Measures (ROMs)

The service is required to report to Public Health England and the Department for Education (Mental Health Delivery, Children Young People Mental Health Division, Qualifications, Curriculum and Extra-Curricular Directorate, Early Years and Schools Group).

Please use the below table as guidance of ROMs usage:

ROMs Quick Guide

First and Last session must have At LEAST one of the following:

• RCADS

• SDQ

• Anxiety Scale (Amended RCADS for SEN or additional needs)

Throughout treatment on AT LEAST TWO OCCASIONS

• GBO

Optional ROMS to use throughout treatment that go to commisioners

• RCADS subscales

• Me and my shcool

• CORS

• ORS

Any other ROMS you look at throughout treatment are you choice but don’t go on the Sevice report; This report reflects the effectiveness and impact of our work/interventions on our children and young people

ORS is a session by session rating questionnaire with 4 simple questions Outcome Rating Scale (ORS) (corc.uk.net)

CORS (Child Outcome Rating Scale)

CORS is used as above ORS but pictograms (child friendly for 6-12 yr olds) Outcome Rating Scale (ORS) (corc.uk.net)

GBO (Goal based Outcome measure)

GBOs are simply a way of deciding at the beginning of an intervention where you want to head for, and to track progress along the way.

ESQ (Experience of Service Questionnaire)

Formerly CHI-ESQ is a questionnaire measuring service satisfaction in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services

There are three versions of the ESQ:

• ESQ Child Self-report for 9-11 year olds

• ESQ Child Self-report for 12-18 year olds

• ESQ Parent/carer report
